Tucked away in a cozy corner, the hot tub provided a blissful retreat after a day of exploration. The soothing waters, coupled with the serene ambiance, created a perfect oasis for relaxation. It was a delightful surprise to find such a rejuvenating experience right within the confines of the hotel. The panoramic views from Sun Moon Lake Hotel are simply breathtaking. Whether enjoying a morning coffee on the balcony or winding down in the evening, the vistas of Sun Moon Lake were a constant source of awe. The proximity to the lake itself added an extra layer of tranquility to the stay, making it a truly immersive experience. The complimentary bicycles offered by the hotel were a fantastic touch. Exploring the scenic surroundings of Sun Moon Lake became a breeze, thanks to the convenience of having bicycles readily available. Riding along the lakeside paths provided a unique perspective of the area, allowing me to soak in the natural beauty at my own pace. Free parking is often a rarity in such scenic locations, but Sun Moon Lake Hotel exceeded expectations by providing this amenity. It made exploring the nearby attractions and towns hassle-free, allowing me to focus on enjoying the surroundings without any parking concerns. The hotel's restaurant, located in the basement, offered a diverse and delicious menu. From local delicacies to international cuisine, the dining experience was a culinary delight. The convenience of having a quality restaurant on-site added to the overall comfort of the stay. The location is close to Suishe Visitor Center where the bus drops visitors off. It's about a 20 minute walk with luggage but we asked the hotel shuttle to pick us up and drop us off at the visitors center when we arrived and left. You can also schedule ahead of time if you want the shuttle to drop you off at Suishe at other times. There was a large buffet breakfast that was quite tasty. The room was also very clean and we liked the view. There were many bikes to use for free to bike along the bike path. This is not a criticism (and Sun Moon Lake is primarily a domestic tourist location) but a FYI - if you don't speak Chinese, communication with the hotel staff might be a bit challenging. Some staff had a little bit of English language skills but that was not necessarily consistent. That's ok though :) just be prepared with some sort of translator app which is definitely useful in Taiwan anyway.

The view of the lake was fabulous and the room was clean and modern The breakfast buffet that came with the room far exceeded my expectations. they had a huge selection of freshly made chinese dishes, fruits, and best of all excellent coffee. The staff were extremely attentive. We came by train and bus and the lake is big enough that not having a car was somewhat limiting. But we were able on several occasions to arrange, on fairly short notice to be dropped off to nearby destinations by the hotel shuttle driver who was always polite and friendly

Room had hot-tubs with TV on the wall (haven't see it else where). They have good kids play area and game room. Hotel provided free bikes to go around the lake. Free shuttle buses to market/pier hourly.
